When Paul had finished speaking, he knelt down with all of them and prayed. They all wept as they embraced him and kissed him. What grieved them most was his statement that they would never see his face again. Acts 20:36-38
When Jesus is the common bond, friendships go to another level. I find it frustrating though, how Satan tempts Christian friends to talk about everything but Jesus. This is an emotional scene as Paul says farewell to a group of people he had come to love. His final words with them were to keep sharing the good news of Jesus. Be intentional to let Jesus be part of your friendships. Speak of what He means to you. Discuss what you think Jesus’ dreams are for His church and the world. Consider how you might introduce a common friend to Jesus.
Assignment: Bring Jesus into at least one conversation today. Explore, ask questions, and share laughter as you consider how Jesus impacts your relationship. Then share with us how that feels. I believe you will find something special in it. Have a great day!
