Thoughts for the Day

II Samuel 5, I Chronicles 11,14, Mark 11:15-e

Posted by Pastor Jeff Heimsoth on

Therefore I tell you, whatever you ask for in prayer, believe that you have received it, and it will be yours. Mark 11:24

Be careful! My first thought as I read this passage was to think, “That would be pretty cool -- to get whatever I wanted.” My self-centered, selfish being was exposed. I believe Jesus is speaking here of one being so in tuned with Jesus that his/her prayers seek the will of Jesus to be done more than anything else. Prayer and life are simple when Jesus is truly Lord over all in our lives – even our desires. That becomes the tough part. So what do you want God to do in your life today? Better yet, what do you think Jesus wants to do in your life. Pray away!
