(Read Isaiah 6:1-13 with me this week.)
In the year that King Uzziah died, I saw the Lord, high and exalted, seated on a throne; and the train of his robe filled the temple. 2 Above him were seraphim, each with six wings: With two wings they covered their faces, with two they covered their feet, and with two they were flying. Isaiah 6:1-2
I have an image of what God might look like. I am sure Isaiah did as well, but that image was blown out of the water when he saw God in this vision. What makes us think we could ever imagine God in a big enough way to even come close to reality? Even the angels attending God were way beyond what Isaiah or I could imagine. Now realize this—even after Isaiah describes God and his “train that “filled the temple” and the seraphim, my picture of God still comes up short. There are no words to fully describe God. Remember this when you face a challenge today and you wonder if God is up to taking care of it for you.
