Thoughts for the Day

Deuteronomy 8-11, Romans 5:1-11

Posted by Pastor Jeff Heimsoth on

You are to love those who are foreigners, for you yourselves were foreigners in Egypt. Fear the Lord your God and serve him. Hold fast to him and take your oaths in his name. He is the one you praise; he is your God, who performed for you those great and awesome wonders you saw with your own eyes. Deuteronomy 10:19-21

The message of Moses was simple—remember. Remember the great things God has done for you. Remember the joy you know in His love for you. And in a time when God spoke of destroying the cultures in they land they were to take—remember that God loves the “foreigner” because that is what you used to be before God took you in. So, what is the barometer of our remembering? It is obedience. Think about that as you make choices today. Have a great one!
