Thoughts for the Day

Blessed to See

Posted by Pastor Jeff Heimsoth on

(Read Isaiah 6:1-13 with me this week.)
They (the seraphim) were calling to one another: “Holy, holy, holy is the Lord Almighty; the whole earth is full of his glory.” Isaiah 6:3

Isaiah’s vision of heaven was not golden streets or former earthlings playing harps. What he saw/heard were angels praising God for His glory which fills heaven and earth. In that moment he realized that what he had ever thought of God was way too small. God is greater than we can imagine! The angels sang of God’s glory filling the earth; he saw that glory filling all of heaven. And in that moment, he realized that he had always underestimated God—and that thought terrified him (will look at that tomorrow).
Father, give me wisdom to realize You are more—more than I could ever imagine. And yet you have invited me to call you, Father. Thank You. AMEN.
